Cole's Study Guides
For teachers

One guide. One link. Whole class.

Make a study guide from your own handout or slides once, and every student gets flashcards, a practice test and their own written answers marked against your material. No accounts, no rostering, nothing to install.

  1. 01

    Make it from your material

Upload the handout, slides or reading you gave the class, or a photo of the board. The guide is built only from that, so it matches what you taught, in your words.

  2. 02

    Check it, then share it

Read it through like you would a worksheet. If it is right, add it to the library with one tap and copy the link. Your name is never shown; the guide is just "IB History HL" or whatever you call the class.

  3. 03

Students study. Nothing comes back to you.

Post the link. Each student works through it on their own phone or laptop. Their marks and flashcard progress stay on their device. There is no dashboard; written answers are marked and not stored.

What students get

The revision session you never have time to run.

Marked written answers

Students write a full answer to an exam-style question and get it marked against a mark scheme drawn from your material. They see what earned credit, what was missing, and how to get the rest, and can try again as many times as they like.

A practice test that retests the misses

Multiple choice with an explanation for every answer. After the first run it retests only what they got wrong.

Flashcards, a concept map, a summary

Every key term to define cold, the big ideas drawn as a map, and a plain-language summary. Plus a printable study sheet for anyone who prefers paper.

Good to know

It is not a homework machine

It writes study guides and marks practice answers. It does not write essays or solve assignments, and there is nothing a student can hand in. The FAQ on the home page says this to students too.

Check it before you share it

Guides are written by an AI from your material and checked against a rulebook, but they can still contain mistakes. Anything wrong can be reported by anyone and taken down.

Your students' privacy

There are no accounts, so there is nothing to collect. Notes that students upload themselves are sent to Anthropic's Claude to write a guide and are not stored by this site. The privacy page has the full detail, in plain language.

It is free, and it stays free

This is a student-run nonprofit project. There is no school license, no per-seat price and no premium tier. If it helps your class, the best thanks is to tell another teacher or support the project.

Try it on next week's handout.

About a minute from upload to a guide the whole class can use.
