Cole's Study Guides
About

Built by a student, for the night before the test.

I built Cole's Study Guides as an IB Diploma student because the big revision sites know the syllabus but not my class. My teachers emphasize different things, use different examples and ask questions in their own way. The guides that helped me were the ones I wrote by hand from my own notes.

Those guides worked, so I turned the process into a tool anyone can use on their own material. You bring the notes, slides or reading your class used. It turns them into something you can be tested on.

How it works

What happens when you press the button.

  1. 01

Your files are read in your browser

PDFs and Word documents are turned into text on your own device. Only that text is sent, never the files.

  2. 02

    Claude writes the guide live

Your text goes to Anthropic's Claude and the guide streams straight back, so you watch each section arrive.

  3. 03

    A rulebook checks it

Every generated guide goes through the same checker before you see it: nothing left unfinished, every answer explained, every exam question tagged with its command term. If it fails, it is rewritten once.

Principles

Four rules the site keeps.

Your material, not the internet's

Guides are built only from what you give it, so they match what your class covered.

Testing beats rereading

Every guide is built around testing yourself: flashcards, a practice test and exam answers you write.

For learning, not for handing in

It writes study guides and marks your answers. It does not write your assignments.

Free, and staying free

No account, no paywall, no ads. It runs as a nonprofit project, and donations cover the cost of writing guides.

Try it on tonight's notes.
